Located right in the heart of Paris’ antique quarter and just a few steps away from the acclaimed Musée d’Orsay, one can find the spectacular Galerie Negropontes. Striving to revive the tradition of the French Decorative Arts, the art gallery is managed by founder Sophie Negropontes and designer as well as director, Hervé Langlais. The gallery actually provides a wide variety of products, including artistic wall mirrors and, today, we will be featuring 6 of our most favorite mirror designs, all of which were designed by Langlais.
Kaleidoscope is one of the gallery’s most recent mirror designs. It was created for the 2017 Collection Synthesis. It has a palm tree and lacquer structure with gilded mirrors.
This bronze mirror was designed in 2012 for the Materials Revealed Collection.
The pink toned Diversion champagne mirror was conceived for the Collection Shifting Reflections in 2015. It is made of satin brass and sharkskin.
Designed in 2016, Prism is a flat bevel mirror in lacquer and polished brass. It was created for the Coloured Abstractions collection.
Belonging to the A Tribute to Brancusi Collection, the Muse mirror was designed in 2014 and features polished brass tube and polished brass leaf.
The Sight Mirror was designed in 2015 for the Collection Shifting Reflections. This convex mirror is made of polished brass tubes, brass leaf.
As a whole, the gallery presents exceptional creations made by craftsmen of unmatched skills, reviving the tradition of French Decorative Arts with a resolutely contemporary vision. The guiding principles of the gallery are a love of beauty and fine craftsmanship, and a wish to renew the tradition of luxury à la française.
