During London Design Festival which is scheduled to go from 16-24 September, design enthusiasts will be able to experience the Reflection Room which was conceived by designer Flynn Talbot. As a matter of fact, this immersive colored light space is going to be the very first LDF installation to take place in the Prince Consort Gallery.
The arched space was created in partnership with Barrisol and support from Tryka LED & Seam Desgin. Each end is illuminated in order to make this exhibition quite memorable to visitors and gives good use to the dramatic 35m length of the gallery and the ceiling structure.
The gallery is lighted up with the designers signature of complementary blue and orange lighting while adding large black reflective Barrisonal panels which are used to expand the width of the room, resulting in a fragmented view of shifting colors, faceted reflections and light.

The Reflection Room is comprised of 56 custom-made Barrisol panels in gloss black and woven fabric within the panels radiates vibrant orange and blue tones. Characterized by colored light and a futuristic textile presence, this exhibition pays homage to the history of own room which had formerly been home to over 30,000 textile samples.
“I conceived the idea standing in the gallery, and wanted to add my story on top of the beautiful existing architecture but not to take it over. With all of my work, I want to create new experiences using light that build a connection between people and place,” explained Flynn Talbot
