The proficient designer was recently nominated as one of the top designers and architects of Architectural Digest’s 2018 AD100 List. ⇒ Ladurée Quai Des Bergues Bakery, in Geneve, Switzerland. The designer paid tribute to the brand’s heritage while also giving a modern twist to the space through a delicate combination of sumptuous materials, rich hues and exquisite finishes.
⇒ Germain Restaurant, Paris. Mahdavi masterfully decorated this dining venue so that each room had a different style. Red, Yellow and Black were the colors of choice as well as vector patterns in the furniture and carpets.
⇒ Café Français, a contemporary brasserie located on the Place de la Bastille, in Paris.
⇒ Coburg bar at the Connaught hotel, in London. The designer enhanced the design of the bar by reupholstering the original wingback chairs in a contemporary, jewel-coloured velvet.
⇒ Hotel Thoumieux, in Paris. In this suite, Mahdavi decorated with her own mirror, Treffle, finished in rattan and organic materials.
